Individual-Centered PracticeStaffingWe make a commitment to provide staffing at the level needed to successfully serve all of your residents’ needs. We take into consideration direct patient care needs and provide in-service training for your employees. In addition, our employee and floater pools afford us the flexibility of providing continuity of coverage to ensure proper follow through. Individual EvaluationPhysical, occupational and speech therapists assess residents who are in need of a formal evaluation. The evaluation is intended to determine the resident's current strengths and deficit areas, current functional status and his or her rehabilitation needs and potential. Based on the evaluation results, the therapist will recommend an appropriate program that can identify the need for and potential to involve residential staff in goals specific to the individual's needs. Resident Treatment ProgramsResidents demonstrating rehabilitation potential will be enrolled in a therapeutic program. Each program is individually tailored to restore or maintain the resident's quality of life within the framework of the residential setting. A plan of care is written with appropriate, measurable short-term and long-term goals and treatment interventions that can be incorporated into the interdisciplinary care plan. The therapist works in close conjunction with the nursing staff to ensure appropriate carryover of any treatment techniques, and to assist in nursing management. If a resident is being seen to establish a maintenance program, the therapist will set up the specific goals and approaches in cooperation with the nursing staff and train them to ensure a successful outcome. Monitoring occurs on a quarterly or semi-annual basis to ensure continuity. In-Service TrainingIn addition to providing in-service training based upon individual needs, Albright Rehabilitation Services offers a broad scope of training based upon areas of specialty including but not limited to: Family SupportWhen requested, the therapy staff will work closely with family members to provide support and training. The therapists will participate in family conferences and help family members to understand the need for specific rehabilitation therapies. Interdisciplinary TeamworkThe Albright Rehabilitation approach strongly supports the concept of teamwork. At the request of the facilities, Albright Care Services staff will attend Interdisciplinary Rehabilitation Team meetings for the purpose of program planning and the achievement of maximum resident independence.
