Beauty Salon

Normandie Ridge offers a full-service beauty salon located in Manchester Commons. Open to the public as well as the residents, the salon offers a full menu of hair care services. Appointments can be made Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 9am to 5pm.

Chaplaincy Services

The Chaplaincy program offers pastoral care to all of our residents. Normandie Ridge is affiliated with The United Methodist Church. All persons are welcomed into our community, regardless of religious affiliation.

The Chaplain organizes Bible studies on a regular basis and conducts weekly worship services on Sunday afternoons for those who choose to attend. The Chaplain also coordinates discussion groups around a variety of topics.

Normandie Ridge Chaplaincy services are intended to support, not replace, the continuing participation of residents in their respective faith communities.

The Chaplain’s office is located in the administrative hall just off Manchester Commons. The chapel is open 24 hours a day.

Computer Access

Normandie Ridge provides Internet access to residents in the apartments. Computers are also available in the community living rooms located on each floor of Manchester Court. Community living rooms are furnished with sofas, chairs and tables to entertain guests or socialize with friends.

Creative Arts Room

Normandie Ridge maintains a creative arts room, complete with cooking appliances, a sewing machine and other items needed to complete any craft project. The room is open for residents 24 hours a day and is located in Manchester Commons.

Fitness Center

Normandie Ridge maintains a full-service fitness and exercise room, which includes treadmills, life cycles, universal gyms and free weights. The exercise room is located beside the swimming pool in Manchester Commons.

Congressional Room Restaurant

Our beautiful dining room, with its elegant chandeliers and wall sconces, offers the perfect ambiance for your dining experience. The restaurant features an eclectic menu with many American favorites, created in response to resident and guest preferences. We also offer daily specials and feature seasonal favorites. Our menu offers something for everyone from heartier fare to delicious low-fat entrees. Our executive chef and his team prepare a variety of cuisine to satisfy all tastes.

For dinner, residents can dine Monday through Saturday 4:30pm to 7pm. The menu features up to seven choices. On Sundays, we offer a Grande Buffet from 11am to 2pm. Cash and credit cards are accepted.

Patriot Cafe and General Store

For a refreshment, meal or light snack, we invite you to relax and enjoy the casual atmosphere of our cafe and general store. The dining area features parquet flooring and bistro-style seating that leads into our atrium. The cafe is the perfect place for a light breakfast, lunch or dinner. Our menu features daily specials and everything from pizza and gourmet sandwiches to soups, salads and an extensive breakfast menu. Residents can visit the general store to purchase the daily newspaper, milk, bread, eggs and a variety of sundries.

Catering Services

Our catering professionals realize that every party, business meeting and event calls for its own personality and atmosphere. Our team is prepared to provide the right ambiance, the perfect menu and the ideal setting for your next event. Our goal is to assist you with your special events by providing flexibility, variety and quality service. We will customize our catering plan to meet your budgetary needs. Our facilities can accommodate events of up to 250 people. If on-campus options do not meet your needs, off-campus catering is also available. We look forward to serving you!

Physician Services

Normandie Ridge has an on-site physician. For the convenience of our residents, the doctor is available in the wellness clinic one day a week and also has an off-campus office at Pine Grove Commons in Leader Heights. Residents have the choice of selecting our on-site physician or choosing another primary care physician from the community.

Library/Living Room

Normandie Ridge maintains a cozy library located in Manchester Commons The library features a selection of donated hardcover books as well as videos. An excellent place to curl up with a good book, the library features comfortable sofas as well as a fireplace. The library is open 24 hours a day.

Aquatics Center

Normandie Ridge maintains a complete aquatic center including water aerobics, open swim and group swims. Located in Manchester Commons, the swimming pool area, with its large expansive windows, has a view of the campus. Take a relaxing swim or sit in the jacuzzi and enjoy the scenic view. Separate changing rooms with lockers are available.

Transportation Services

Normandie Ridge is more than happy to transport residents to and from scheduled appointments within the local service area. Shopping, banking and doctor visits can all be handled through our transportation service.

Walking Paths

Normandie Ridge maintains over a quarter of a mile of walking paths. Residents may enjoy a relaxing walk through the cottage grounds. The walking paths also provide an excellent opportunity to get exercise while enjoying the landscaped campus and the view of the countryside.

Woodworking Shop

Normandie Ridge maintains a complete woodworking shop. Through gifts from past and present residents, the woodworking shop is stocked with most of the tools needed to make something as small as a birdhouse or as large as a Windsor chair. The woodworking shop is available by appointment.
