Normandie Ridge Celebrates National Senior Fitness Day

Normandie Ridge Senior Living Community will be celebrating National Senior Fitness Day on Wednesday, May 30 with registration beginning at 8 a.m. in the facility’s Common Area, located at 1700 Normandie Drive in York. The day’s events, hosted by the Normandie Ridge Wellness Department, will include a triathlon (treadmill, bicycle, weightlifting, and swimming), a scooter course, water volleyball, a horseshoes tournament, scrabble, ring toss, yard darts, croquet, bocce ball, basketball, yoga, brain busters, and “mini games” for those individuals who are less mobile. Prizes will be given to the participants with the highest scores for each event. The public is invited to attend free of charge and must pre-register by May 22.
An optional Healthy Buffet lunch will be served from noon until 3 p.m. on site in The Congressional Room Restaurant for $5.25. Entertainment will be provided with lunch. Those who do not wish to eat lunch are still invited to enjoy the Normandie Ridge Line Dancers, short skits performed by the Normandie Ridge chapter of the Red Hat Society, and a discussion on health and aging by Bobbi Patton, Normandie Ridge Physical Therapist.
