April Breakfast Series Planned at Normandie Ridge

Normandie Ridge Senior Living Community will be hosting their April Breakfast Series presentation from 9-10 a.m. on Thursday, April 12 in the facility’s Multi-Purpose Room at 1700 Normandie Drive in York. The lecture will conclude with a question and answer session, and breakfast items will be available to all participants. Residents, staff, and the public are invited to attend free of charge. Don Swigart of Doppler Diagnostics in Harrisburg will speak about topics related to vascular disease including the hardening of the arteries and how it affects your legs; the dangers of a ruptured abdominal aneurysm; genetics versus risk factors; the prevention of plaque build up in arteries; and the upcoming health screenings to be held at Normandie Ridge on May 3. A video presentation of three different vascular procedures and how the latest Doppler ultrasound technology is used to detect vascular disease will be featured. Don Swigart has 22 years experience in conducting diagnostic testing for vascular disease in the Harrisburg area and currently does testing for several local hospitals and physician offices.
Normandie Ridge began their monthly Breakfast Series in February with a presentation on heart disease in celebration of American Heart Month. The purpose of the Series is to inform the residents, staff, and the community on topics relating to senior health and wellness.
