Are you Dizzy?: A Balance/Vestibular Presentation to be Made by Normandie Ridge Occupational Therapists

Normandie Ridge Senior Living Community will be hosting their July Breakfast Series presentation on the topic of balance/vestibular issues from 9-10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 18 in the facility’s Multi-Purpose Room at 1700 Normandie Drive in York.  The lecture will conclude with a question and answer session, and breakfast items will be available to all participants.  Residents, staff, and the public are invited to attend free of charge. 

Jessica Hess, OTR/L, spent four and a half years at Alvernia College where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy and a bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences. She worked at Health South Rehabilitation Outpatient Hospital in York before coming to Normandie Ridge, where she has been working for the past five and a half years. Mrs. Hess has interests in vision therapy and scooter/electric wheelchair assessment/ training, in addition to leading yoga and aquatic therapy classes at Normandie Ridge.  Registration is required by July 15 by calling (717) 718-0937. 

Stacia Kuzio, OTR/L, graduated from Mount Aloysius College with an associate’s degree in Occupational Therapy and then from Pennsylvania State University with a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy, Stacia has had nine years of experience working with the geriatric population. She also has experience in creating and implementing wellness programs for seniors. She has been with Normandie Ridge for eight years. 

Normandie Ridge began their monthly Breakfast Series in February with a presentation on heart disease in celebration of American Heart Month.  The purpose of the Series is to inform the residents, staff, and the community on topics relating to senior health and wellness.  Topic suggestions can be made by calling (717) 718-0937.
