Patricia Mummert, LSW of P.L.M. Professional Counseling, will be speaking about Coping with Vision Loss at Normandie Ridge Senior Living Community’s Breakfast Series from 9 a.m. – 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 8 in the facility’s Multi-Purpose Room at 1700 Normandie Drive in York. Patricia has provided counseling services to low vision and blind persons in an agency setting for 27 years. She has recently opened a private practice to offer services to both visually impaired as well as sighted persons. Through the years she has assisted low vision persons to cope with depression that often occurs as a result of that loss. She is very familiar with various eye diseases and is able to locate appropriate resources that will assist individuals as they manage their visions loss.
If you’d like to make a suggestion on a future Breakfast Series topic, please call Heather Ervin at 1-888-791-0094.
