Albright Care Services’ mission is to encourage abundant living by anticipating and responding to the needs of the aging and frail. To fulfill that mission, Albright seeks funds from a wide variety of sources including charitable gifts. Our fund development staff objective is to help friends and family consider charitable gifts that help to fulfill personal philanthropic goals. There are many worthy charities and causes and we’re grateful to be considered among your priorities! We know that choosing where to invest your charitable dollars and your volunteer time and expertise are important decisions. If our mission of benevolence and care-giving matches your personal charitable interests – we thank you in advance!
Helping seniors in need is a responsibility we take seriously at Albright. Our Benevolent Fund exists to help residents during times of unforeseen financial hardship – hardship which can be unexpected and devastating. In nearly 100 years, Albright Care Services has never asked a resident to leave campus who through no fault of his own became unable to pay the full cost of his care.
For some of our resident neighbors, declining health and the inability to pay for services are real fears they live with every day. Imagine having to choose between food and medicine. At RiverWoods and Normandie Ridge, we never want to ask someone to make that choice, even as our costs for benevolent care are increasing dramatically. Last year benevolent care on our campuses exceeded $413,000. In fact, benevolent care expenses have more than doubled in the past four years, and we anticipate they will exceed $600,000 during fiscal year 2012.
Albright’s responsibility to seniors is matched by the generosity of friends and family of RiverWoods and Normandie Ridge. Gifts made to the Annual Benevolent Fund help immediately. Gifts made to the Spriggle Fund for the Endowment of Benevolent Care build our permanent fund and will help with future benevolent expense. A gift for either or both of these funds can be made online by clicking the ‘give your gift online’ button above.
Albright’s Annual Golf Challenge benefits our Benevolent Care Fund.
