Nursing Assistants - Certified

Part-time positions available.

All positions include every other weekend and holiday.

Cares for the personal, physical and emotional needs of the nursing home resident during an eight-hour period under the supervision of a charge nurse.

Qualifications:

  • Must have completed 10 grades of schooling.
  • Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Must be able to pass a physical examination within State and Federal guidelines.
  • Must be a caring person who has a genuine interest in working and caring for the geriatric person.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with staff, residents and visitors.
  • Must successfully pass the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Nursing Assistant testing and be registered with the Department of Health.

 


Enhanced Services Assistant

Part-time and per diem (hours vary) positions available.

Assists the client/resident with a variety of household and personal duties, thereby maintaining his/her independence to live at home.

Qualifications:

  • Must have completed 10 grades of schooling.
  • Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Must possess a valid PA Driver's License.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff, clients, and visitors.

 

Retainer (Flex) Positions

Positions are available for the following:

  • Registered Nurses
  • Licensed Practical Nurses
  • Certified Nursing Assistants

Dietary Assistants: Part-time

RiverWoods Dietary department has part-time dietary assistant positions available. Responsible for the performance of a variety of duties in resident dining areas and in the main kitchen.

Performs a variety of assignments and adjusts work routine according to assignments. Maintains a high standard of safety in handling equipment or residents’ personal property.

Qualifications:

  • Must have completed at least 10 years of schooling.
  • Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Must be a caring person who has an interest in working and caring for the geriatric person.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with staff, residents and visitors.
  • Ability to learn cleaning procedures.
  • Must be able to pass a physical examination within State and Federal guidelines.
  • Must successfully pass the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Nursing Assistant testing and be registered with the Department of Health.

 

Wait Staff: Part-time

Responsible for coordinating entire station and communicating with front and back of house personnel to provide a dining experience that meets or exceeds guest expectations. Processes guests orders to ensure that all items are prepared properly and on a timely basis. Observes dinners to ensure that guests are satisfied with the food and the service, responds to additional requests and determines when the meal has been completed. Totals bill and accepts payment or refers guests to cashier.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language of the work location.
  • A knowledge of the sequence of service and dining room procedures.
  • Must be customer sensitive and possess a sense of timing so that different courses may be served at the proper time.

 

LPN - Part time

Part time positions available in our skilled nursing center.

Qualifications:

  • Nurses must be licensed in the state of Pennsylvania.
  • Must enjoy working with the elderly
  • Must demonstrate good assessment skills.
  • Responsible for the upkeep and serving of food and stocking of kitchenettes with nourishments.
