RiverWoods Senior Living Community to Host Second Annual Autumn Fest

RiverWoods Senior Living Community will be hosting their second annual Autumn Fest on Saturday, October 21 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on site at 3201 River Road in Lewisburg.  Admission and parking are free to the public.

Join us for a fun-filled day of entertainment, food, and activities for all ages!  Scheduled festivities will include a baking contest for RiverWoods residents and staff, a craft sale, craft and art exhibits, the Farmer’s Market, a kettle cook, children’s activities, and musical entertainment.  Proceeds will benefit RiverWoods residents.

Scheduled musical entertainment is as follows:

            9:00 a.m.         Merlin Nicholes (piano and organ)

            10:00 a.m.       Gospel Strings (playing and singing gospel music)

            11:00 a.m.       The RiverWoods Men’s and Women’s Chorus

            12:00 Noon     Lunch

            1:00 p.m.         Jim Quinn Bailey (singing)

            2:00 p.m.         Janice Catrignano (singing)

This year’s event will feature an auction that will benefit the furnishing of a family comfort room in the RiverWoods Nursing Care Center.  The auction will begin at 10 a.m. and will highlight a wide variety of items donated by the residents and employees.  Included will be household items, an autographed basketball signed by the Bucknell Bisons, gift certificates, new items, antiques and collectibles, and larger items that will be sold from the RiverWoods barn. 

Attendees are asked to bring their own chairs and to bring a friend since two sales will be going on during part of the day.  The auction will be held rain or shine.
