Saving Grace Performs at RiverWoods Senior Living Community

On Thursday, October 12, the gospel musical group Saving Grace performed at RiverWoods Senior Living Community from 6-7 p.m. on Evergreen Lane and was free to the residents and visitors who attended.

The group played old time favorites, such as, “Come and Dine”, “Amazing Grace”, “In the Sweet By and By”, and “You are my Sunshine.”  Fifty-two residents, family, and friends enjoyed a night of singing coordinated by Nancy Wise, Recreation Assistant.

Afterwards, the residents asked the ages of the group members, where they are from, if they were married, etc.  One of the members even knew a family member of one of the residents.  Saving Grace then thanked each resident for coming to their program.  The residents certainly were appreciative of their time.

“It was so nice of the group to come out and play for us; it was a wonderful program,” one of the residents said.

Members of Saving Grace, of Mifflinburg, are:  Ed Zeller (guitar); John Zeller (guitar); Barry Boney (singer and guitar); and Morris Nissley (mandolin and singer).  They have been playing together for about one year.
