RiverWoods Sets Date for Second Autumn Fest

IGet ready for a day of fun, food, arts & craft displays, demonstrations, live entertainment, baking contest and new to the event this year is a live auction as RiverWoods Senior Living Community in Lewisburg celebrates its second Autumn Fest on Saturday, October 21 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Autumn Fest committee, comprised of RiverWoods staff, have set a goal to raise $15,000 in order to create a room to be used for family members to be closer to a loved one who is very ill.

The public is invited to this event which will feature a baking contest between residents and staff of RiverWoods, demonstrations of chair caning, stained glass, cornbread over the open hearth and an apple butter boil are planned. This event will offer something for everyone, including plenty of activities for children of all ages. Food will include chicken BBQ with tickets being sold in advance, hot dogs, hamburgers, apple dumplings, French fries, and more.

Donations are being sought for the auction. RiverWoods has already received an autographed basketball from the Bucknell Bisons, to be auctioned during this event. If you are interested in making a donation, contact Dottie Page or Tammy Speece at 524-2271
