Thanksgiving Served Buffet Style at RiverWoods
November 14, 2007

On Saturday, November 10, over 200 residents and their family members gathered to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner in Marlow Hall, located within the Nursing Care Center on the campus of RiverWoods Senior Living Community. The meal was served complete with roast turkey, carved ham, stuffing, mashed potatoes, candied sweet potatoes, California blend vegetables, coleslaw, corn muffins, carrot raisin muffins, cranberry sauce, and assorted desserts, including pumpkin pie. Stacy Drum, Director of Recreation at RiverWoods, coordinated the day’s events with the Dietary department, which allowed residents and family members to make a reservation for one of the two available meal times. Melissa Stiner, Nursing Care Center Administrator states, “It’s so nice to see the residents enjoy a wonderful meal prepared by our RiverWoods Dietary department and to spend time with their family members when it’s not possible for their loved ones to travel to them for the holiday. This couldn’t be done, however, without the cooperation of all the dedicated staff of RiverWoods.”
