Bucknell Student Government Holds Ice Cream Social at RiverWoods

On Sunday, February 25, the Bucknell University Student Government held an Ice Cream Social for the residents of RiverWoods Senior Living Community in the lounge area on the second floor of RidgeCrest Court as a community service project for their organization.  An ice cream bar was set up with several different ice cream flavors including vanilla, chocolate, and black raspberry; assorted toppings, and pink lemonade.  The 18 Bucknell students in attendance helped to dip and serve the ice cream, while the 16 residents who participated relaxed and had a good time sharing ice cream and conversation involving family, the changing area, and politics.  Some students and residents also enjoyed pool and ping pong. 

“The afternoon was delightful,” Betty Gernant, a RidgeCrest Court resident, commented.  “The students expressed the desire to return, and we would love for them to do so!”
