What’s New at RiverWoods
Living at RiverWoods has its Advantages!
February 21, 2007
Last week during the snow storm, many people were shoveling, plowing and even stranded on interstates while residents of RiverWoods Senior Living Community were able to enjoy other activities such as socializing with their neighbors, drinking cappuccino with their friends, reading a good book, or taking a Squeaky Joint Arthritis Class in the indoor pool.
Why worry about shoveling the heavy snow off your sidewalks or plowing your driveway? This is one of the benefits of moving to RiverWoods. The maintenance department worked non-stop and did an excellent job in clearing roadways, sidewalks and even resident cars, allowing the residents to do what retirement was meant to be—relaxation!
Mr. and Mrs. George Lenfest did exactly that. Last October, the Lenfests were the first occupants of a newly constructed 1340 square foot cottage with garage on the RiverWoods campus. The cottage includes two bedrooms, two baths, living/dining area, and full size kitchen complete with all the appliances. Residents are free from inside and outside maintenance of the apartment, lawn mowing, and snow shoveling.
Three more cottages of this similar design will be built in the near future. If you are interested in learning how you can secure one of these units, please contact Karla Mitchell, Community Service Administrator, at (570) 524-2271. Mrs. Mitchell is “looking forward to the construction of these independent cottages on the RiverWoods campus.”
