Stampin' Up Class Held at RiverWoods
February 9, 2007
Eight residents of RiverWoods Senior Living Community enjoyed a Stampin’ Up class held on January 16 in the facility’s Creative Arts Room. There was a $5 fee to participate that included all needed materials. Lynne Mitchell taught the class.
The residents who participated had a great time making Birthday, Get Well, and Thinking of You greeting cards using rubber stamp sets. Many of the participants from the class in January attended a previous rubber stamping session in November.
“Everyone enjoyed themselves,” Lynne said. “Many of the residents expressed that they wanted to attend similar classes, possibly once a month.”
Lynne is a retired teacher of 35 years and taught the fifth and sixth grades at Susquenita Elementary and Middle School. She has also been a Hobby Demonstrator for six years, selling Stampin’ Up materials at home parties, and now is only involved to get a discount on the products. Stampin’ Up is a direct sales company based out of Utah and is similar to the many home party companies that exist today.
