Harvesting the Past to Secure the Future

A home and church tour of the Lewisburg area will be sponsored by Slifer House Museum on Saturday, September 27, 2008 from 10:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M.

Featured homes---in addition to Slifer House---will include an octagonal home, a renovated farm home, a recently constructed home, a renovated green home, plus several others.

Lewisburg church sanctuaries will be opened to display harvest themes in their chancel areas. Lewisburg Cemetery’s small, quaint chapel, too, will have a display depicting the celebration of Harvest Home and the history of the practice of Harvest Home in regional churches. Lewisburg Cemetery’s self-guided stroll by the gravesites of the Slifer family and seven Bucknell presidents will also be available.

Tickets will be available in early August at local Lewisburg businesses. Tickets may be ordered by printing and sending the following information to Slifer House Museum.
